About

Independent product consultants, well established in the Northeast.

Peter Sedgwick and Michael O'Connor have worked in this industry for decades, through distribution, manufacturing, and representation. That history is why a hardware question and a washroom question reach the same team and get answered the same afternoon.

Independence

Fourteen lines, one obligation: the right product for the room.

Representation across Division 8 and Division 10 gives the firm reach through washroom accessories, partition systems and cubicles, lockers, wall protection, glass systems and interior walls, hardware, and door controls. That reach is what lets us answer a product question with a product, and it is also what lets us tell a client when the premium line is the wrong answer for the room.

Consulting leads the engagement. Specification support, estimating, submittal review, and service-life support sit underneath it, and the line card is the evidence that the advice comes with range.

Product consulting

Selection reasoned against the room, the user, the maintenance budget, and the service life.

Specification strategy

Sections and schedules that hold up through bid and construction with the intent intact.

Industry education

Classes, product reviews, and sample sessions for teams who want to specify better.

The team

Eight people, two offices, both divisions.

Peter M. Sedgwick

Managing Member

Peter has worked in architectural products for decades, from contract distribution and ownership of a wholesale distribution business to national sales management and manufacturer representation. That range is why he can read a product question from the distributor's side and the manufacturer's side in the same meeting.

Michael W. O'Connor

Managing Member

Michael has spent decades in construction and hardware manufacturing, including sales management and executive leadership on the manufacturing side. A Sustainability Ambassador through Construction Specialties, he leads the firm's work where hardware, performance, and product transparency meet.

Laura Elliott, M.S.Ed

Director of Strategy and Sustainability

Strategy, communications, and sustainability across the firm and its lines. Leads SSO's sustainability literacy work and the product transparency documentation behind it, with a background in public affairs and technical marketing.

Bring us in early.

The best time to reach us is while the drawings are still moving. Send a set, ask a product question, or book a walk-through of the line.
